October 2021 Talk

October 14, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

‘Growing Native Orchids in Meadows and Gardens’.

Our October talk will be a return to a mixed face-to-face and Zoom presentation. Suzanne Nobel will be talking to us from Lindridge parish hall. We are continuing to follow government guide lines which mean that you can attend the meeting in person where the Lindridge hall committee still provide a ‘covid 19’ safe environment. The use of face coverings is advised, hand sanitizers are available and there will be no break for tea/coffee and refreshments. The talk will also be zoom broadcast for those who do not feel ready to return to face-to-face meetings.

Suzanne’s talk is entitled ‘Growing Native Orchids in Meadows and Gardens’. In her talk Suzanne will explain how orchid biology varies from other plants, how they grow in the wild and how she grows them in the lab. Suzanne will also explain which orchids to choose for planting in the garden successfully.
