September 2020 talk – Cancelled

The meeting advertised for September has been cancelled, due to continued uncertainty over the Covid19 pandemic.  We hope our meeting programme will start up again soon, we will be monitoring the situation and will keep you posted. I and the committee thank you for your continued support and hope to see you all healthy and well later on in the year.

This months presentation will be given by Mike Smart from Call of the Curlew . Mike has been a pasionate birder since boyhood, concentrating over the last 35+ years on wetland wildfowl with a special interest in Curlews. His passion for ornithology resulted in him being presented with the BTO’s 2019 Marsh Award for Local Ornithology for his work on Curlews. Mike’s talk will cover the broader geographic spread and then after the break we will have a short presentation from Ian Duncan with a focus closer to home on Curlew’s in Worcestershire
