May 2020 talk – Cancelled

In line with latest advice regarding social distancing during the Corona virus outbreak the two meetings advertised for April and May have been cancelled. We will be monitoring the situation and will keep you posted regarding the June and subsequent meetings during what we expect will be a very volatile few months. I and the committee thank you for your continued support and hope to see you all healthy and well later on in the year.

This months speaker is Ron Rock from the Bumblebee conservation trust who will be talking to us about solitary bees. Did you know that the UK boasts over 250 different species of bees of which consist of 24 bumblebees and 1 honey bee, all the rest of solitary bee species.

The main speakers talk will last around an hour. There will then be a break for tea, coffee and biscuits (included in the entry fee). Any announcements will then be made and finally the evening will finish with a short talk, on a topic of their choice given by one the group members.
