November talk
November 14 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
We are sorry to have to say that, due to family issues, Brett Westwood had to cancel for this evening. However we can count ourselves very lucky to have Mike Smart, a project office from the Wildfowl & Wetlands trust Breeding Curlew project, step in at the very last moment. He will be talking to us about conserving breeding Curlews in southern and lowland Britain.
Mike is a member of Curlew Forum and this year was the recipient of the BTO’s prestigious ‘Marsh awards’ – Award for local ornithology, so expect a fascinating and informative evening.
The main speakers talk will last around an hour. There will then be a break for tea, coffee and biscuits (included in the entry fee). Any announcements will then be made and finally the evening will finish with a short talk, on a topic of their choice given by one the group members.
