August talk

August 8, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£2.00

A talk and slide show by Catherine Gutmann Roberts entitled “Invasive barbel; where do they come from, where do they go and should we let them stay?”

In this presentation Catherine, from the Bournemouth university, will talk to us about a fish much beloved by some anglers that can be seen to shoal in large numbers in many fast flowing UK rivers including the Wye.

The main speakers talk will last around an hour. There will then be a break for tea, coffee and biscuits (included in the entry fee). Any announcements will then be made and finally the evening will finish with a short talk, on a topic of their choice given by one the group members.
